Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
The cost is one of the most important and common questions. Every case is different and the fees and costs vary. In our initial consultation we will give you an estimate of the expected fees and costs based upon your specific issue. Our goal is to get you the best results and the least expense. Lieb & Lieb charges by the hour, flat fee and accepts cases on contingency.
Does Lieb & Lieb accept contingency cases?
(Attorney is compensated by a share of the recovery.) Lieb & Lieb accepts contingency cases of all sizes. Standard contingencies fees are one-third before your case is filed, forty percent once your case is filed and forty five percent at 60 days before trial.
What happens in the free consultation?
We offer a free consultation to meet you and learn about your case. In our initial consultation we analyze your issues and discuss what it will take to prevail. We will give you estimates of the fees and costs, the amount of time it will take and attempt to answer all your questions.
How long will my case take?
Lieb & Lieb attempts to negotiate nearly all cases before filing in court. In the event we are unable to negotiate a settlement we will file your case. San Diego Courts try to get all non-complex cases to trial within one year of the date the complaint is filed. San Diego Courts refer nearly all cases to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) which include mediation, arbitration and settlement conferences. ADR is a chance to settle your case before trial.
Do I have a case?
