Richard Fahey
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Richard was admitted to the California Bar in 2000. After graduating in 1986, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, cum laude, with a degree in psychology, Richard worked as a counselor in the greater Boston area before moving to San Diego in 1989.
In San Diego, Richard worked for St. Vincent de Paul’s Toussaint Teen Center, where he helped implement one of the first long term transitional housing programs for homeless teenagers in the city and developed and managed a community-based alcohol and drug addiction treatment program for teenagers.
Richard graduated from California Western School of Law and is admitted to practice in all California state courts, the Federal District Court of Southern California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court.
Richard is also a certified facilitator through the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) using the Technology of Participation (ToPTM) group facilitation methods and received an Academic Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding academic performance in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
In his practice of law, Richard successfully combines the listening and communication skills of a counselor with the assertive and detail-oriented demeanor of a legal professional.
Richard has previously served as vice president of the Pershing Middle School Foundation and been a volunteer board member of Springfest Inc.
